We are currently seeking an experienced Sales professional to join our Client Coverage Organization in Paris.

The Sales Specialists are responsible for maintaining existing client relationships as well as new business development for all products. Each person travels within their respective sales territory to meet with clients regarding new products as well as enhancements to existing products.
The role entails positioning and closing sales of index standard and custom index subscription data as well as licenses for research reporting and the issuance of Index-linked derivatives financial products. These sales are made to our current as well as prospective clients with sales specialists utilizing their knowledge of the various departments within the sell-side (locally and globally) to position.
This role is a highly visible one working in a high pressure, highly targeted, sales driven environment. In addition to the management of senior level relationships, the role also demands a consummate relationship builder, both internally and externally, in order to drive sales and hit revenue targets. Key to this role is the creation and timely execution of pipeline which the sales specialist takes full ownership of. In this role, individuals will work very closely with global Client Service, Marketing, Legal, Product Management, and Finance / billing departments.

• Inform all clients about company’s products, announcements, projects, etc.
• Work with other departments (Client service, Legal, Contracts, Billing, etc) to ensure that all client requests / inquiries are managed appropriately
• Maintain accurate records regarding account visits, client conversations, finalized contracts, etc
• Proactively solicit client feedback regarding new initiatives and future product development
• Provide feedback from clients to Marketing, Sales, Research and Product Development groups
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Strong understanding of the global equity market – experience in a financial service company, preferably in Investment Banking selling equity derivative products to institutional investors
• Strong sales closing skills
• Sales experience with a proven and quantifiable record of accomplishment (preferably with broker/dealer sales or structured product distribution role)
• Superior communication and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects
• Strong analytic and quantitative skills
• A self starter and highly motivated; ability to work individually and within a team
• Bachelor’s Degree Required. MBA, Masters Degree and/or CFA charter holder are a plus.
• Fluency in English, French and German
